Tyler Khan – Second Team Head Coach

A club alumnus and former first-team captain, Coach Khan hails from San Jose, California, and has headed our second team since January 2024. With a background in the academy, collegiate, and semi-professional tiers, Tyler brings a disciplined, player-focused coaching style to our program.

Tyler began his player career at the San Jose Earthquakes Predevelopment Academy before joining De Anza Community College in 2018. He arrived at Arizona State University in 2021 and co-captained our first team to back-to-back Southwest League 1 titles and a Southwest Cup Championship. He gained semi-professional experience with FC Arizona in the UPSL in 2024.

After graduating in 2023, Tyler transitioned into an assistant coach position with our club. That season, the first team made its deepest National Tournament run in over 20 years, reaching the Round of 16. The following year, he was appointed Second Team Head Coach. In Spring 2026, our second team went undefeated (9-0-1), becoming Southwest League 2 champions for the first time in program history.

Coach Khan holds US Grassroots 4v4, 7v7, and 9v9 coaching licenses and is in the process of earning his USSF D license. He currently coaches at RSL AZ South and previously coached at the UPSL and NISA Nation platforms with SC Union Maricopa. Under the mentorship of our Director of Coaching, Ernando Novais, Tyler hopes to continue to develop the next generation of top players at ASU.
